Fan created, franchise embraced, May the 4th is widely known as Star Wars Day as a result of the date related pun: May The Fourth Be With You. From 2020-2026, I worked with Lucasfilm to commemorate Star Wars Day on Disney+ with app entry animations, brand hub takeovers, and various other on-service stunts.

Outcome

One of the biggest days for Disney+ engagement, Star Wars Day has evolved into a massive annual event which has been used as a case study and emulated across other celebrations on the service (Taylor Swift, Lilo & Stitch, Earth Day).
