Mayvenn is a beauty supply startup that empowers stylists and salons to retail products without them having to purchase or manage any inventory. Predominantly selling hair-extensions, they created a direct sales distribution channel based on the existing stylist/customer relationship, lower prices, and an overall improved experience.
The redesign of Mayvenn's mobile and desktop properties as well as a freshening of the brand elements. The e-commerce site is built with dual interfaces; one for stylists selling hair and another for consumers purchasing it. The flow needed to be intuitive with literal visuals and no hidden features or actions. The brand needed to evolve Mayvenn from their position as a new company, fresh out of 500 Startups, to a trustworthy high fashion retailer.
